Intermediate Hurlers do battle with Inniscarra in PIHC 2016-05-27 21:21:00

We wish our Intermediate hurling team and management the best as they take on Inniscarra in Páirc Uí Rinn on Saturday evening next at 6.15 pm in the Premier Intermediate hurling championship.  Surely a celebratory year in Castlelyons with the 1916 celebrations and remembrance of Thomas Kent, Bawnard and his family.  Can we transfer that commitment and fighting culture to Páirc Ui Rinn tomorrow evening!

We have a very tough assignment.  We have a few injuries and Inniscarra are loaded with quality players in Sean O Donoghue, the Caseys and so many more.  Their manager the great John Meyler has been round the house and we often faced up to him before.   They were involved in a relegation battle last year but are going much better this year under Meyler as they have won four and drawn one and only lost three games in the Division One Premier League.

However, we have a lot of good younger players who enjoyed success at minor and U21 and have plenty hurling so with a dry evening and a fast track, real commitment and proper attitude we are in with a right chance.  Come on lads – die for it. Castlelyons Abú.
