Juniors back in action after their league win

Our Junior girls went back to barracks last Wednesday evening after their successful league campaign. Attention now turns to the summer league and the championship. The summer league kicks off first with an away game to St. Vincent’s on Wednesday evening. Full report next week. Our opponents in the summer league are St Vincent’s (away), Youghal (home), Banteer (away) and Cobh (home). We will begin our championship campaign in early July. Opponents in the championship are Ballinora, Aghada, St. Vincent’s and Millstreet. Success in these matches will see a semi-final date in late August and a final early September. Judging by the girls performances so far this year we are hoping to be still in for the toss in September. We wish all our players continued success in the state exams and luck forward to your return on completion.

Training continues for Juniors and Minors every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7pm on main pitch. With our Juniors back in action and our Minor’s returning soon full attendance is appreciated.

Start clearing out your wardrobe!

Castlelyons Camogie club will be holding their annual clothes collection the week of Cúl Camp 4-8 July to raise much needed funds.

Thank you

A big "MileBuíochas" to everyone who gave so generously to our recent Fermoy street collection. Monies raised go to enhancing the many activities that the girls participate in and it is very much appreciated by all.

Best of Luck

All the best to the Castlelyons Intermediate hurlers who are hoping for championship advancement as they take on Courcey Rovers on Saturday next, the 18th June, at 7.30pm in Blarney. Castlelyons Abú.

U 14’s Win V Watergrasshill.

Our U14 team recorded a win in their last league match away to Watergrasshill on Monday 6h June. From the off, the game was a tough physical battle with high levels of intensity from both side. Gradually we began to create opportunities which eventually saw us take the lead, a lead which held on to till the final whistle. Credit to Watergrasshill they never stopped trying and fought for every ball. On the final whistle Castlelyons ran out winners on a score line which did not truly reflect the exciting and competitive nature of the match. We currently await confirmation of our next opponents and fixture details for the next stage of this competition.
