Mixed Luck for U14 Hurlers

Castlelyons 9-9 :  Shamrocks 5-12

Last Thursday our U14 hurlers travelled to Shamrocks to play them in our final league game. It was vital that we won this game in order to remain in our group. Castlelyons started the game strongly and lead at half time on a score line of 3-7 to 1-7. Shamrocks got off to the better start after the break and score several points unanswered. Castlelyons came back into the game and ran out deserving winners on a final score of 9-9 to 5-12. Congratulations to all players and the subs that came on.

Panel: - Kevin McCarthy, Eoin O Neill, Gavin O Neill, Shane Cotter, Shane Flynn, David Morrison, Richard Morrison, Seamus Morrison, Declan Morrison, James Kearney, Jack Kenny, Peter Hegarty, Stephen Casey.

Scores: - David Morrison 5-2, James Kearney 2-3, Seamus Morrison 1-1, Shane Flynn 1-0, Shane Cotter 0-2, Richard Morrison 0-1.

U14 hurlers bow out if championship

Castlelyons 3-6 : Ballygarvan 4-13

On Monday night last, our U14 hurlers travelled to Whites Cross to play Ballygarvan in the semi-final of the championship. Ballygarvan were physically stronger than our lads and got off to a better start and lead at half time. Things didn't get much better in the second half and things didn't go our way in every respect. Our boys played their hearts out and played some fantastic hurling and were unlucky with their scoring.

Panel: - Kevin McCarthy, Conor McCarthy, Eoin O Neill, Gavin O Neill, Shane Cotter, Shane Flynn, David Morrison, Richard Morrison, Seamus Morrison, Declan Morrison, James Kearney, Jack Kenny, Peter Hegarty, Stephen Casey.

Scores: - D Morrison 1-3, J Kearney 1-2, Dec Morrison 1-0, Conor McCarthy 0-1.

Good Luck

To our Junior Footballers in the County Final next Sunday
