Monster Hurling Blitz in Killeagh

Over twenty one boys lined out for Castlelyons in our final hurling blitz of the season in Killeagh last Saturday.

Our U7 Panel gave some great performances seeing off two Killeagh teams and putting in a great display against Carrigtwohill. 

They were so impressive were the boys that the watching Cork star Seamus Harnedy sought them out afterwards to get some advice from our young stars.

Our U7 panel: - Jack Reals, Jack Burke, Peter Verling, Patrick Verling, Tom O'Neill, Rory Condon, Sean Óg Maguire, Sean O’Callaghan, Luke Morrison, Dylan Leetch and Richard Barry.

Our U8 team also put in a great performance, completing a clean sweep. First up the boys put in a great performance against Carrigtwohill and then had a hard fought game against Kilta Óg, the highlight being a Ruari Counihan wonder goal, followed by a sensational “John Fentonesque” ground stroke by Patrick Dooley from half way that went straight to the net. The boys rounded off the day with a very competitive game against Middleton where everyone played exceptionally and had great fun. Following the game Seamus Harnedy presented the boys with their medals.
