Report on AGM

The club would like to wish everyone a happy and peaceful new year and are looking forward to a successful 2015 both on and off the pitch. Our 2014 AGM took place in late 2014 with a large attendance to hear how the club got on in 2014. At the AGM the following officers were elected: Chairperson – John Lenehan, Secretary – Pat O’Sullivan, Treasure – Denis Buckley and PRO – Jimmy Morrison. The managers for 2015 were also elected, namely: U6/U8 – Donal O’Callaghan, U10 – Steve O’Riordan, U12 – Declan Spillane, U14 – Willie Casey & U16 – Neil Spillane.

Our season ended on St Stephen’s Day with the Puc Fada – this year the Puc Fada was in memory of the late Padraig Fenton who was a loyal and fervent supporter to Castlelyons GAA. On a damp morning there was a great turnout of 37 teams who all enjoyed the new testing route and congregated afterwards in the Community Centre Bar for the prize giving and the regaling of how many shots each team took!! 

All proceeds on the day are being donated to Enable Ireland. We would like to thank everybody who helped make the day a great success especially all the ladies for their cooking and helping in the bar, all of the stewards, our organising committee, the Gardai and everyone else who helped and who took part.

The 2015 season for all ages will be commencing shortly with training notified by text from each manager.
